Öğrenmeye İlişkin Motivasyonel Stratejiler Ölçeğinin Coğrafya Dersine Uyarlanması: Bir Geçerlik ve Güvenirlik Çalışması

Bu araştırmanın amacı öğrenmeye ilişkin motivasyonel stratejiler ölçeğinin coğrafya dersine yönelik olarak uyarlanması, geçerlik ve güvenirliğinin incelenmesidir. Araştırmanın örneklemini Amasya il merkezindeki üç farklı lisede öğrenim görmekte olan 864 lise öğrencisi oluşturmuştur. Veriler, öğrenmeye ilişkin motivasyonel stratejiler ölçeğinin coğrafya dersine uyarlanmış hali olan Coğrafya Dersi Öğrenmeye İlişkin Motivasyonel Stratejiler Ölçeği ve kişisel bilgi formu ile toplanmıştır. Ölçeğin yapı geçerliği doğrulayıcı faktör analizi ile test edilmiş ve güvenirliğini incelemek amacıyla madde toplam korelasyon değerleri, maddeler arası ortalama korelasyon ve Cronbach alfa iç tutarlılık katsayısı analizleri gerçekleştirilmiştir. Doğrulayıcı faktör analizi sonuçları, tersten kodlanan maddeler çıkarıldıktan sonra 40 maddeden oluşan ölçeğin beş faktörlü yapısının (öz-yeterlilik, içsel değer, sınav kaygısı, bilişsel strateji kullanımı, öz-düzenleme) kabul edilebilir model-veri uyumu gösterdiğini ortaya koymuştur (χ2/sd = 1.77, CFI = .91, TLI = .90, RMSEA = .03, SRMR = .05). Ayrıca ölçeğin madde faktör yük değerleri .28 ile .79 arasında değişmektedir. Ölçeğin alt boyutlarının maddeler arası ortalama korelasyon değerleri .28 ile .48 arasında, madde toplam korelasyon değerleri ise .26 ile .67 arasında değişmektedir. Alt boyutların Cronbach alfa güvenirlik katsayıları ise .69 ile .86 arasında değişmektedir. Araştırma sonuçları, Coğrafya Dersi Öğrenmeye İlişkin Motivasyonel Stratejiler Ölçeğinin lise öğrencilerinin coğrafya dersine yönelik motivasyonel inançlarını ve öz düzenleme stratejilerini ölçmek için geçerli ve güvenilir bir araç olduğunu göstermektedir. Ölçek, coğrafya eğitimi araştırmalarında önemli bir boşluğu doldurmakta ve gelecekteki araştırmalarda coğrafya öğrencilerinin öğrenme süreçlerinin daha derinlemesine incelenmesine olanak sağlamaktadır.
